Eco-Schools Uganda

Eco-Schools Uganda is our flagship program promoting environmental education and sustainability in schools across the country. We work with students, teachers, and school administrators to integrate environmental practices into daily school life, creating a generation of environmentally conscious citizens.

Through this program, schools establish eco-clubs, implement waste management systems, create school gardens, and develop sustainable practices that reduce their environmental footprint while enhancing learning outcomes.

  • Environmental education curriculum development
  • Eco-club establishment and training in schools
  • School garden and tree planting initiatives
  • Waste reduction and recycling programs
  • Green certification for participating schools

Renewable Energy for Rural Communities

Access to clean and affordable energy is fundamental to development. Our Renewable Energy for Rural Communities program brings sustainable energy solutions to underserved areas, improving quality of life while protecting the environment.

We install solar power systems, promote clean cooking technologies, and train community members in renewable energy maintenance. This program reduces reliance on fossil fuels, decreases indoor air pollution, and provides reliable electricity for homes, schools, and health centers.

  • Solar panel installation for rural homes and institutions
  • Clean cooking stove distribution and training
  • Biogas system implementation for households
  • Community training in renewable energy maintenance
  • Energy-efficient lighting solutions

Green Cities Initiative

As Uganda's urban areas continue to grow, the Green Cities Initiative addresses the urgent need for sustainable urban development. We work with local governments, communities, and businesses to enhance urban resilience through strategic tree planting and comprehensive waste management systems.

This program transforms urban spaces into greener, cleaner, and more livable environments. We establish urban forests, create green spaces, implement waste segregation programs, and promote recycling to reduce the environmental impact of rapid urbanization.

  • Urban tree planting and maintenance programs
  • Community waste collection and segregation systems
  • Recycling centers and composting initiatives
  • Green space development in urban areas
  • Public awareness campaigns on waste reduction

Voices for Climate Justice

Climate change disproportionately affects vulnerable communities, yet these voices are often unheard in policy discussions. Voices for Climate Justice empowers communities to engage in environmental policy advocacy, ensuring their concerns and solutions reach decision-makers at local, national, and international levels.

We provide training in advocacy skills, facilitate dialogue between communities and policymakers, and support grassroots movements fighting for climate justice. This program ensures that those most affected by climate change have a seat at the table where decisions are made.

  • Community advocacy training and capacity building
  • Policy dialogue forums and workshops
  • Support for community-led environmental campaigns
  • Research and documentation of climate impacts
  • Network building among climate justice advocates
